About Tassie Mini-Z
Tassie Mini-Z is a small, friendly club running fortnightly 1:28-scale RC car races at Cygnet Hall in the Huon Valley, Tasmania. Racing is casual, families are welcome, and newcomers can usually borrow a car for a first session.
The hall is wooden, the floor is polished, the cars are precise, and the evenings are long. It's the kind of club that would have existed in 1978 and somehow still exists in 2026.
How to join or come along
- Check the events list for the next race night or practice session.
- Turn up — no booking required for casual attendance.
- Race-night entry is payable on the night unless an event page says otherwise.
- Gear: a 1:28-scale Mini-Z (Kyosho, Atomic, or equivalent), charged batteries, and AA cells for the radio.
- New? Reach out via the club contact details on LiveRC — we'll point you at loaners for a first session.
